Chapter 443: Uniqueness of Force Skills
“Cough!”
Phoenix fell on the ground in front of Feng Luo, her HP had dropped below 5% and she entered the “Heavy Injury” status.
Her HP was already reduced in the earlier battle, and now that the Tyrant T-100 took out another 9,000 of her HP in two hits, it was natural that she was not able to keep it up.
If she did not use a blood tonic on herself prior to the battle and used the rare B-grade potions that increased her vitality, strength, and agility stats which made her maximum HP almost 12,000, she might have already died at that moment.
The attack strength of the high-level Tyrant T-100 was a nightmare for melee combat professions.
“Ta, ta, ta!”
As the Tyrant’s body inflated, a concentrated sound of submachine gun firing came from behind.
After Onishi saw the strength of the Tyrant’s attack, he decisively chose not to engage in close-quarter combat. Instead, he took out his silver submachine gun directly and fired a series of bullets at the Tyrant.
“-435, -462, -504...”
One after another, energy bullets that left white trails in the air struck the Tyrant’s body, filling the Tyrant’s black overcoat with bullet holes and blood splattering everywhere.
It was clear that those bullets were some sort of special ammunition.
Even if the target of the attack was the Tyrant T-100, the bullets inflicted damage of over 400 per shot.
Roar.
However, the Tyrant T-100 did not dodge the attacks and let out an angry roar from the depths of its throat instead.
The black overcoat that had been riddled with bullet holes and bloodstains by Onishi and Phoenix started to crack due to its expanding body, and the coat was completely torn to pieces.
An incredibly lean and muscular body, even more perfect than a bodybuilder, appeared in front of them. However, the body was over three meters tall, and had worm-like veins popping out from underneath the dark and tanned skin.
“Tyrant T-100. Level 55 Commander. Awakened Status. HP: 60,000...” Onishi reported the bastard’s stats through the party channel.
Its level and HP increased.
After the Tyrant’s status became “awakened,” its level actually exceeded the maximum of Level 50.
Although its “awakened” state was similar to normal Tyrants, its flesh was not rotten anywhere. Though its claws were sharp and its arms were large, almost three times as large as a normal arm, it was not as large as a normal Tyrant’s claw that was one-third of its body size.
The Tyrant’s greenish-gray eyes stared straight at Feng Luo, whose right hand was shrouded in a layer of black mist while holding a military knife, charging at him.
“Bam!”
He swung the dark red claws attached to his large and muscular arm towards Feng Luo’s head from above.
“Just in time...” Feng Luo’s glare showed that he had no intention of dodging; instead, he looked as if he was raring to test something out.
When Feng Luo activated the attached Ghost Weep’s Ghost Power skill, he felt as if his right arm, which was holding the Legendary Grade military knife in a reverse grip, was injected with a frightening power.
The degree of the strength of the power made Feng Luo feel as though he could snap an alloy sword in half with his bare hands.
Perhaps it was just an illusion created by the brief moment when he felt a surge in strength.
However, with regard to the Tyrant T-100’s strike, Feng Luo felt that he was capable of blocking it.
“Slit!”
Ghost Weep cut through the Tyrant’s large hands from bottom to top, with a slithering sound of a sharp object cutting through flesh could be heard.
“Ka!”
What followed immediately after was the sound of the sharp object hitting something tough and hard.
The bones of the Tyrant T-100 were actually harder than the bones of normal tyrants. As such, the blade of Ghost Weep, which was regarded as indestructible, was blocked by the Tyrant’s bones.
After Feng Luo received Ghost Weep, this was the first time he encountered something that the B-grade destructive force of Ghost Weep failed to break through the target’s defense.
Though he failed to slice off the Tyrant’s arm, from an angle, one could still tell that at least half had been cut.
Moreover, Feng Luo used his strengthened right arm to block the attack of the Tyrant. The damage value that appeared above his head also proved this point.
“-1655!”
This was the white damage value that appeared above Feng Luo’s head.
“-3523!”
This was the damage value that appeared above the Tyrant’s head.
Roar.
To have his attack blocked by the tiny being whose height did not even reach his chest, the Tyrant also felt a sharp pain originating from its hands. The Tyrant T-100’s initially calm expression also started to lose its calm as the eyes started to turn red. The Tyrant had completely entered its enraged status.
After the Tyrant T-100 awakened, its expression compared to before, was now similar to the personality of Tyrants that always bore a grudge. As such, the Tyrant T-100 raised its right leg and sent its black knee kicking towards Feng Luo’s chest area.
Feng Luo could not help but admit that he had made a mistake.
In his original plan, Ghost Weep should have been able to severe the Tyrant’s arm. In that case, they would be able to easily continue to press their attacks.
Unexpectedly, the Tyrant’s bones were much tougher than imagined. Even the Legendary Grade military knife with a B-Grade Destructive Coefficient could not cut off the Tyrant’s hand.
The impact of the strike made Ghost Weep stuck in between the Tyrant’s arm bone, leaving Feng Luo with two choices.
Number one, let go of Ghost Weep and give the weapon up while dodging the Tyrant T-100’s knee.
If he were to do that, it would practically mean Feng Luo was giving up Ghost Weep and the military knife may even fall into the possession of the Tyrant T-100.
Number two, Feng Luo could increase the Force output and accelerate the speed at which he could pull Ghost Weep out. However, the price would be getting hit by a T-100 Tyrant.
The attack strength of the Tyrant T-100 was incredible, even Phoenix, who equipped a full set of Rare Grade items, received over 5,000 damage.
Feng Luo’s defense stat was higher than a common Light Armor Warrior. When faced with the violent counterattack of the Tyrant standing across them, the probability of receiving substantial damage was incredibly high.
Should Feng Luo hide, or duke it out?
Feng Luo’s mind raced and he reached a decision in a short amount of time.
He did not dodge and instead, only put his left hand wearing the SUV tactical gloves on his chest. He chose to duke it out.
“Bam!”
“-4355!”
Feng Luo’s body flew backward.
Ghost Weep’s Ghost Power skill was amazing; however, its weakness was that the bonus only applied to the arm holding the military knife rather than the entire body. Additionally, it did not increase one’s vitality.
Feng Luo’s vitality stat was still quite low. Just like Onishi earlier, he was sent flying like a sandbag by the strike of the Tyrant T-100. He flew around ten meters away after getting hit and slammed into the top of the metal wall of the side tunnel.
However, Ghost Weep, which was stuck in between the Tyrant’s bones, was pulled out by Feng Luo, keeping his weapon.
The damage that appeared above his head was not too high. Compared to Phoenix, who was equipped in a Level 45 Rare Grade Light Armor set, the damage value was even lower.
Was that a little odd?
Feng Luo was not surprised by any of it at all, he chose to duke it out with the Tyrant because he remembered the Master Martial Arts skill.
Among the three Force attributes, apart from increasing melee combat abilities and attached Force damage, the Force had another attribute; damage reduction when faced with melee attacks.
The Tyrant’s knee attack was categorized as a melee attack type, so its damage would not be too crazy.
Apart from that, Feng Luo did not temporarily switch his profession back to the Light Armor Warrior, instead, he was still a gunner at that moment, making the situation even weirder.
The Master Martial Arts skill came from the Enhanced Martial Arts skill. And the Enhanced Martial Arts skill should have been his Light Armor Warrior skill.
So, how did Feng Luo utilize the skill when he was a gunner?
There was actually only one explanation, Force Skills did not have professional restrictions.
All Force Skills, including the skills attached to Legendary Grade items, unless they had individually specified professional restrictions, were usable by all professions, which was the main difference between Force Skills and normal professional skills.
