Chapter 2356 Black Wisp

Chapter 2356 Black Wisp

?Chapter 2356 Black Wisp

The light that spilled out of Alex's Origin made it appear as though it was a fracture in space. However, that was just an illusion of the light.

In truth, the Origin was very tiny, barely the size of a grain of rice and the thickness of human hair.

Alex had to get very close to it to recognize just how small it was.

"So this is my Origin, huh?" he said out loud, even though there was no one else to hear it.

Alex would have to feed his Qi into this, empowering it to grow even further. At each realm of the Immortal Origin realm, the Origin would grow to the most it could, at which point Alex could finally break through to the next realm.

'Another requirement for breakthrough, he thought. Such a thing would be the case in the Immortal Transcendent realm as well, where the requirement for breakthrough would involve the level of Transcendence that had been completed the process by which aura was given to the Origin.

That was why Silvermist had made it abundantly clear that completing the

Transcendence in the Immortal Origin realm, or at least doing some of it, would vastly speed up one's cultivation speed at later realms.

Sadly, Alex couldn't do that. And it wasn't just because he hadn't yet made a choice as to what his Creation had to be.

Sun or Sword, that was a choice he had to make soon, but beyond that, there was another issue.

Provenance Duality: Replication

A technique by which one could replicate their Origin so that they could have multiple of the same Creation at a later stage.

To make something like that possible, the technique had to be used in the Immortal Origin realm periodically to help unsolidify the Origin, to make it flexible and ever in flux so that one could be made into two, and two into four. Much more if time allowed for it.

It would still be the same Origin, but it could be duplicated when he needed it to. And making that happen took a lot of time. At every step of the way, one had to stop and use the technique to prepare their Origin to become able to be replicated.

'How many years am I going to have to spend to make that happen?' Alex wondered, watching the small sliver of Origin. 'Many, I would imagine!

Alex wasn't demotivated by that. The advantage of what the technique gave him was

easily enough to demand even ten times his natural speed of cultivation. If it took him a century to break through each realm, then so be it.

Even taking ten millennia to reach the Divine Realm would be considered fast by many.

Alex left the tiny Origin alone, making sure not to put any sort of aura into it. This meant he also had to make sure that he now got rid of the silver mountain entirely so that no strand of space aura would fall into that Origin by accident.

That, and send away Godslayer so the death and darkness aura that emanated from him did not affect the Origin.

Only... there was none of it at the moment.

Alex focused his attention toward Godslayer, who seemed... well... Alex wasn't sure

what he seemed like. The sword spirit should have still been deep in absorption and cultivation, but it appeared he was done with the first half of the task.

As for the second half, Alex wasn't sure if he was doing so or not.

"Godslayer?" he called out, making sure not to disturb him if he was deep in cultivation.

He slowly moved toward him, trying to see what he was doing. The clear spherical crystal that was Godslayer's body burned at the center with a wisp of tiny but incredibly powerful blackness.

No aura leaked out of him; nothing to indicate how powerful he was. To a normal person, this would be nothing more than a marble that they happened to find here.

However, since Alex knew just how much aura of Death and Darkness Godslayer had gathered and absorbed, it was surprising to him that not a hint of it leaked from his smooth body.

'Did he really manage to contain it all?' Alex wondered.

The black wisp at the center of the crystal flickered from time to time, like a candle flame catching the occasional gust of wind. But there should have been no wind there. Alex didn't know what prompted him to do what he did next, but he slowly reached out toward the crystal, attempting to touch it.

The moment he touched it, Alex violently jerked back his hand, the entire Spiritual Sea shuddering as a result. It was the representation of his mental state, and just then, that had been rather dangerous.

'Stupid!' Alex thought, feeling the phantom pain in his entire right arm.

The pain was not just in his arm, but also in his mind. There had been something just then, some sort of splinter of a memory that he saw upon touching the crystal. What were those?

A flash of red and black. An image of people that stood around him, all their faces dark, all their faces smiling. A memory of something important.

Alex couldn't make out more than that. He looked back at Godslayer, seeing the tiny black wisp flicker again.

'Is he... dreaming?' Alex thought, but he shook his head. If he was, then it couldn't be a dream. Not with those images and those emotions.

It was a nightmare, clear and simple.

Alex couldn't understand why a sword would be seeing a nightmare, but whatever the reason, he chose to leave it alone. This was not his fight to fight.

Alex pushed away Godslayer and the mountain, sending them further away from the Origin so as not to catch it in their aura. Once he had done that, he finally returned to

his outer body.

Alex opened his eyes outside, breathing out a long sigh as he was finally done.

That was when his Soul Space pulsed once again.
