Emperor's Domination

Chapter 6306: The Thirteenth Peak

Chapter 6306: The Thirteenth Peak

“Crack.” Li Qiye raised his finger, causing the tower to disassemble again.

They came together to form a passage leading upward, just high enough to reach the heaven above - around the height of a second floor.

While she stood there in a daze, he had already walked up and disappeared. She thought anyone would think about dominating Three Immortals with this artifact.

This gave its owner the means to fight against supreme overlords. Alas, it was being used as steps to be stepped on.

Nevertheless, she climbed up, never expecting to have this privilege one day. It was simple, no different from mortal steps.

After making it to the next floor, she found they were standing on a peak. Stars were around them like embedded gems.

There was no end to this space but it also felt so close. When she looked toward the distance, she saw many mountain ranges.

One had a peak piercing space itself. Another looked like a volcano with rising lava. One more was a glacier block, releasing terrifying gales…. They seemed inhabited by beasts, hence the occasional roars capable of shattering stars.

“Star Ocean, that’s where we are.” She murmured.

Ancient ancestors such as herself have been here before but for the regular disciples, this place was a legend. Emperors and desolate gods needed to be strong enough before entry.

Desolate Ancestor created this world after becoming an immortal, imprisoning the fierce beasts of Three Immortals.

Star Ocean was a pleasant name but in reality, it was a prison for monsters. Why did she do this instead of just killing them?

Three reasons were given. First, this prevented beasts from causing trouble. Second, they could be used to train powerful disciples of Desolate Frontier. Third, each monster was a precious treasure. Of course, the disciples needed to be strong enough to kill them first.

Therefore, primal ancestors and heaven-slayers occasionally trained here. Some found success and obtained precious sources and dao bones. A few died in battle.

“Wait, no, we cannot see this place from Star Ocean.” She said.

“They are not the same.” Li Qiye said: “This place is the thirteenth peak, it’s just that you can see Star Ocean from here. The same can’t be said when you’re in Star Ocean.”

“We’re on the thirteenth peak?” She took a deep breath and looked down.

Sure enough, this was a separate peak from anything else. She gazed at the stars and spotted the differences between this dimension and the one above Star Ocean.

This peak looked proud and unique as if it was the greatest in history. This feeling was unforgettable, akin to standing at the highest point possible.

“I’m on the thirteenth peak.” She murmured. The hiding spot was in Immortal Hall, hence the impossibility of reaching it.

It required being able to enter the palace on top of controlling Desolate Tower. Their progenitor certainly wanted to hide it.

The two walked up more and only saw a small pond fit for children to play in. Was the great peak solely created for this purpose?

Of course, it was wonderful to be able to swim and touch the stars at the same time. This experience was reserved for immortals such as Desolate Ancestor.

“Only this?” She expected a treasury or immortal laws.

“Oh? Looking down on it?” Li Qiye smiled.
