Ling Yun continued making his way towards his victims while turning to his side at one point to smile at the supportive Zhang Ling. As if Pi Hezhi was worse than a dime on the floor, Ling Yun did not even bother about him and went on to step on Gou Junfa’s chest.
With Ling Yun’s elephantine body mass, one could not resist but wonder how much force was exerted by his feet on Junfa’s chest. The ruffian could not do anything with his current condition other than let out a shriek. Lying there like a dead dog, all that could be seen from his eyes were signs of fear and beseech.
Ling Yun continued to give an innocent face, as he looked caringly over Junfa. “Hey Little Hook, can you at least speak a few words?”
“What? Little Hook?” The students watching the show burst out in laughter as they could not believe that the renown privileged bully in the school had been given such a dumb and childish nickname.
Meanwhile, students walking past the corridor outside of the classroom heard the ongoing commotion and eagerly made their way into Grade 12 Class 6 to have their fair share of the show.
Getting no reply from the sick-looking and badly bruised Gou Junfa, Ling Yun realized he had exerted too much force on his chest such that Gou Junfa was not in a state to even breathe properly.
Ling Ying heaved a sigh of disappointment at the ruffian before taking his step off his chest for being physically weak. Even Wei Tiangan had lasted longer before pleading for Ling Yun to stop. Gou Junfa endured his tumbling pricks and needles all over his body, gathered all the remaining energy he had to pant out his words. “Ling Yun, I know my mistake. I promise not to do it again.”
This was immediately followed by Ling Yun’s sarcastic rebuttal. “Hey, no! Don’t be in a rush to admit your mistakes. We can take our own sweet time! I remember you said you took from me around three to four thousand dollars over the past three years, right?” Ling Yun went on to continue his dig at Gou Junfa.
“Yeah…” Junfa forcefully attempted to answer a yes.
“Okay then, three plus four is seven, so I guess that will be seven thousand dollars. Zhang Ling, any idea how much seven thousand bucks after three years of interest can fetch me?” Ling Yun intentionally miscalculated the maths in order to take his revenge.
His casual mistake got the whole class giggling and chuckling out loud. Everyone knew about the misdeeds Gou Junfa, along with Lu Chentian, had done in school. Hence, being able to see Junfa getting ridiculed brought joy rather than pity to the surrounding spectators, especially knowing how Ling Yun had been severely bullied by the arrogant pair over the past three years.
Zhang Ling went along with Ling Yun’s joke while casting a few glances at Cao Shanshan. “If I’m not wrong, after saving for three years, the interests gained should fetch at least a good ten percent!”
Cao Shanshan was shocked by her bestie’s words. After three years, it would not even reach five percent of seven thousand, yet she ridiculously gave an answer twice of that.
Ling Yun looked thankfully at Zhang Ling before returning to care for his pitiful Little Hook. “Alright then, so after a fifteen percent of interest for three years, the total amount would be approximately eight thousand and fifty bucks. I’ll just take eight thousand dollars from you, do you have any objections?” Ling Yun purposely added an additional five percent interest to Zhang Ling’s answer.
Gou Junfa had no energy to even care about Ling Yun’s calculations. “Sure… sure. eight thousand it shall be!” He uttered softly as he could not wait to get out of this sh*t hole.
“Little Hook, are you sure? Were my math calculations right?” Ling Yun poked further at his poor state. Gou Junfa was painfully eager to swear his agreement to Ling Yun’s request but had no energy to do so.
“Okay then. Time to get my money back!” Ling Yun asserted. Gou Junfa proceeded to get his wallet out from the back pocket of his pants. “There are ten thousand dollars here, you can have it”.
“Hey, I’m not like you! I do not take what does not belong to me, you prick!” Ling Yun scolded him as he threw two one thousand dollar notes onto Gou Junfa’s pathetic face.
Cao Shanshan was disgusted by Ling Yun as she could not believe how shameless he could get. He had blackmailed Gou Junfa for an amount so much more than what he had taken, yet he still had the cheek to say that he did not want anything more? Her impression of Ling Yun got even worse after she recalled how he had taken her thousand bucks earlier in the day.
You might think that Ling Yun could not get any more demanding but what happened next will surprise you. “But, Little Hook, I can’t beat you up for nothing, right? After all, I wasted my energy on you. Maybe you should pay me for that too,” Ling Yun audaciously requested.
Gou Junfa’s bruised face became startled as Ling Yun actually dared to ask him about something that was usually his question to his victims. However, what could he do besides accept Ling Yun’s request by handing over whatever money that was left in his wallet?
Ling Yun decided to make things difficult for Gou Junfa by rejecting him and only taking half of his offer. Gou Junfa was so done with Ling Yun’s game but he could do nothing but comply.
Being at a disadvantage had never been Ling Yun’s style. His principle was to take revenge for every ridicule or mockery he received, even if he had to be very shameless about it. He kept all the money he had collected from Gou Junfa and kept quiet.
“Ling Yun, can the two of us leave now, please?” Gou Junfa pleaded with Ling Yun with his puppy eyes. However, what was on his mind was a totally different thing. He swore to repay Ling Yun at least ten times what he did to him today. Where would his face in Qingshui City go if he were to not take revenge at Ling Yun?
“No hurry, my friend. I remembered you said you will find me for a beating every time your hands get itchy, right?” Ling Yun denied Junfa’s request to leave the place. Junfa could no longer decipher what was in the mind of this fat dude.
“Recently, my hands have been very itchy and I will definitely hit you up whenever I have the urge to fight. So you better not appear before me or I’ll beat you every time I see you, do you understand?” Ling Yun shouted directly at the ears of Gou Junfa.
Gou Junfa regretted his decision. If only he had followed Lu Chentian’s plan to attract Ling Yun to the rooftop, things would have been different. With five to six guys against one Ling Yun, what were the chances that they would lose to him?
However, the first thing on hand to was to get the hell of this sh*t hole as quickly as possible. “Yes, yes. I’ve heard it. I will not show myself in front of you!” Gou Junfa hurriedly replied. He might have been agitated after being ridiculed by Ling Yun, but he was smart enough to know what was the most crucial thing at hand. If he were to suffer another physical blow again, he would definitely not be able to leave this place by himself.
Gou Junfa tried his best to stand up but was harshly kicked back down by Ling Yun. “I haven’t asked you to stand up, so why are you standing up?” Ling Yun insulted him. “Can you tell me more about how you got those bruises on your face?” he added.
Gou Junfa was furious! His injuries were there obviously all thanks to him. However, having already lost three of his teeth. He could only lie about the truth and make Ling Yun look good. “Oh, I was too clumsy and walked into a wall.” This was very familiar to Gou Junfa as it was what Lu Chentian and himself would indirectly force their victims to say.
Everyone knew both Lu Chentian and Gou Junfa were two that were not to be trifled with. Those that had suffered under their hands could only keep their anger to themselves in fear of upsetting the ruffians. However, things were different that day. Instead of the usual bully, Gou Junfa had ended up at the other end of the fight. He could finally have a taste of his actions!
“Did everyone hear that? Gou Junfa said he walked into a wall, resulting in the bruises all over his body. Totally got nothing to do with us,” Ling Yun announced to the crowd before him. “Next time, please be careful when you walk. Do not collide with the wall again,” he advised Gou Junfa.
Gou Junfa forced himself to put on a smile and replied, “Of course. I’ll be very careful next time”.
Ling Yun proceeded to take a look at Pi Hezhi, who had been looking out of sorts for some time already. “I’ve already settled the score with your leader. A pity I don’t have any more time for you. I’ll leave it till next time before I find you and settle ours,” Ling Yun was not afraid to give out a warning.
Lastly, he looked away from the two ruffians and told them to get lost.
Not wanting to spend any more time looking like fools, Gou Junfa and Pi Hezhi ran out of the classroom frantically, amidst the waves of laughter of the surrounding students.
As for Ling Yun, he made his way back to his seat. Then, he started to tidy up the books left on the floor after the tussle with Gou Junfa.
“Impressive! What a good job teaching Gou Junfa a lesson!”
“Fantastic! Fabulous! That was such an eye-opening show!”
Cheers and jubilations were heard from the students.
“But Gou Junfa will never stomach this ridicule. He will definitely come back for Ling Yun.”
“Ling Yun was so harsh with his moves. Two punches and a kick from him was enough to hurt Gou Junfa so badly that he could not retaliate!”
Other than being stunned by Ling Yun’s performance, the students all held him at a higher level of respect now. The current Ling Yun was no longer someone easy to deal with.
As Zhang Ling looked at Ling Yun as if he was her idol, she felt a sensation in her heart as her perspective of Ling Yun was no longer that of someone she hated. Instead, he looked cute to her.
“This is the fifth time already! Did I just realize he has a dimple on his left cheek? He would be perfect if he was thinner!” Zhang Ling continued staring at him affectionately.
Cao Shanshan, who had yet to say anything since Ling Yun’s beating, felt weird to see her best friend mumbling words to herself. Out of everyone that was present, she was probably the only one that knew that Ling Yun had not just been plainly throwing punches. Every move that he made was timed with precision and power. No one, not even her, could have avoided his attacks.
That made her wonder what else Ling Yun had up his sleeves.
