Chapter 3255: Sorry

?

As the elevator started to go up, at the same time, a spaceship came out of the fabric of space near the Space Station. It exchanged a few words with the commanding center of the station, quickly coming to one of the open docks once everything was checked.

Three cultivators of the Supreme Palace, obviously Demon Beasts, came out and were received by some of the higher-ups of the Closal Planet's Inquisition Hall. "Hello, friends of the Supreme Palace. I'm the interim head inquisitor at the moment, Jouri. Thank you for coming down in such a short notice."

Those three were from the same race as Rifindio, the Camazotz Bat. The one in the middle, a Space-Bending Peak Stage Bat called Vianto, looked at those members of the inquisition hall in disdain. "Hmph! If it wasn't because an idiot died in this shit place, do you think we would have come here? Let's not waste each other's time. Bring me where I can check all the recordings. Then, we will visit the area where the fight happened. I want to know everything Duere was working on."

"Yes, yes!" Jouri didn't complain and guided the trio.

However, before they left, one of the Camazotz Bats on the side looked back. He seemed to be looking for someone at the exit of their Spaceship. Yet, no one was there, so he turned around again and walked away with everyone else.

The other two bats had the same thought, but none of them seemed to care.

Just a few minutes later, the group was brought to another Space Elevator, and they began to make their way down. At some point, this elevator approached another one going up. Little did they know, but the target of their investigation was just a few meters away from them. Yet, both elevators quickly passed by each other, the bats and Rean oblivious about each other's presences.

*Dim!*

-Attention passengers, we have now arrived at the Inquisition Hall Space Station. Please make sure you don't leave anything behind. You are in the territory of the Inquisition Hall, so be sure to behave yourselves.-

The elevator opened before Rean and Donfina came out leisurely. Well, Donfina was a little more tense, afraid that the Inquisition Hall might try something again. Not only she but the other experts, too. Rean was basically the only one who didn't seem to be afraid of their situation.

"Donfina," he spoke. "How long until our ship departs to our planet?"

Donfina opened her CD and checked the information. "Another two hours. Why?"

"I'm going walk around a bit then." Rean came up with an excuse. "If you need me, just contact me on my CD."

"What?!" Donfina didn't like that at all. "No can do! What if something happens? Weren't we supposed to cover each others' backs? Since you are going to walk, I'm coming with you."

"Eh?" Rean felt trouble but then thought of something. "Do you like my presence that much?" He asked the woman, teasing her.

Donfina almost exploded in anger. "I like you enough to cut your head. Is that what you want?"

Rean shrugged, seeing that his plan worked. He wanted to anger the woman so she wouldn't come with him. "In that case, I will see you later."

Yet, as soon as he began to walk away, Donfina followed, much to Rean's confusion. "Did you... hear what I said?"

"As much as I don't like the idea, our safety is still our main priority. We need to be in top condition once we return. So yes, I'm following you, even though I want to kick your ass." Donfina explained, her expression awful. But, at the same time, she had some doubts. Troyae wasn't the kind of guy to make those jokes with her. Why does he want to be alone so much? She better keep close to make sure he doesn't cause any trouble.

In the end, Rean shrugged and nodded. It wasn't like it mattered anymore. He is already in the station, and as soon as he finds Duere's Spaceship, his group can act and take the ship. The Inquisition Hall won't have time for anything. "Suit yourself."

Rean walked through the corridors, often peaking at the window and checking the outside. He was using his Spiritual Sense to check further away, but the entire station seemed to be covered in Anti-Spiritual Sense formations, so he couldn't see more than a few meters.

Roan, who was inside the Dimensional Realm with Kentucky and seeing everything outside, was starting to lose his patience. 'Let's not waste more time. We are already here, so we can just break our way outside and find where it is docked pretty fast.'

Rean shook his head, though. 'What if the dock is internal? Then we won't be able to see anything other than the station. Wait a little, and let me walk around. Perhaps I can-'

Rean was talking to Roan when suddenly, he spotted the spaceship docks through one of the windows. There were a few there. 'Oh! There they are!'

Sister Orb then showed what Rean was seeing to Rifindio, asking for their group's sake. [Can you see the Spaceship Duere came with?]

Rifindio quickly looked at the ships and nodded a second later. "That blue color one. Can you see those two blood-wings emblem on the side? Only members of the Supreme Palace can use them. Its model is also the same one I used to come here... although it seems to have received a few small upgrades. In any case, the controls are most likely the same." Rean, Roan, and Kentucky nodded. It was finally time to act.

Rean's Spiritual Energy circulated, catching Donfina's attention. "What are you doing?!"

Rean glanced at her, smiling. "Sorry, little girl. It seems this is a goodbye."

*BOOM!*

Without a care for the world, Rean punched the wall to the outside, blasting it open. Roan and Kentucky also appeared by Rean's side, and the trio shot in the Spaceship's direction.
