Chapter 344: I Was Distracted by You

Qian Meng actually made him carry her all over the house, never giving him the real destination.

"Are you going to tell me where we are going? Or do you just want to be cradled in my arms like a baby?" Mo Qingchen jabbed.

Qian Meng snorted. "Like a baby? Is that how you view me?" she asked. "Or are you tired already?" she teased.

Qingchen rolled his eyes. "I'll just put you down then," he threatened.

She giggled and pointed. "To the guest bedroom!"

He maneuvered them through the halls. "The bedroom seems like the logical place to end our date. But what are we going to do there?" he asked as they rounded the corner.

"What else do you want to do?" she asked.

"Anything with you is fine." He gave her a blinding smile. Qian Meng helped him open the door and Mo Qingchen paused.

The room was dark enough that it took a few moments for his eyes to adjust. The first thing that stood out was the blanket on the floor and plush pillows.

"You did some renovating, I see," he commented.

"Always so observant, Mr. Mo," she teased as he walked into the room. He looked to the empty wall and realized what was going on.

"Are you going to watch a movie?"

"We are," she replied with a wicked gleam in her eyes. It usually meant she wanted sex.

"We're watching porn?" he almost yelled out.

"Such a dirty-minded man," she tutted judgmentally.

"Me?" He laughed. "You were giving me the look." He finished walking to the head of the room and sat down on the blanket.

"What look?" she asked innocently.

"You are joking, right?" He snorted in her face. "You give the most wicked looks, woman."

"I have no idea what you are talking about." Mo Qingchen put her down and sat down beside her.

He had no idea what she wanted to watch. None at all. He was actually stretched out for a long nap ahead of him. There was no way he was going to stay awake for any movie.

He saw Qian Meng fiddling with the remote and placing a small projector strategically. "Bought this off the internet," she told him helpfully.

Qian Meng finally stretched out beside him and he draped his arm across her shoulders, pulling her close.

It was all good and romantic.

"We're watching a romantic movie?" he asked.

Qian Meng cuddled closer and rested her head on his shoulder as the movie began. Mo Qingchen hadn't seen any romantic movies, so he honestly didn't know how to handle the cringe.

A few seconds into the opening scene, Mo Qingchen realized it wasn't a classic romance.

"I know this guy," he said under his breath. "What is his name again?" he mumbled.

"The one and only, Cage Cavanaugh," Qian Meng replied with a girly squeal.

"We're watching an action movie?" He sat up to get a closer look at the screen.

"What else could we possibly watch?" Qian Meng snatched him back and rested on his chest. "It satisfies my need to look at a pretty face and learn some ninja moves. You don't get too bored either."

Mo Qingchen rolled her eyes at how obvious that was. "There's no romance in the movie?"

"You've never seen this movie?" she asked with a gasp.

"I don't think so." His eyes flickered to the screen and back to her. "I can't remember."

"Oh, you would remember if you had watched it," she quipped.

"What's so great about him?" He yawned obnoxiously. "It looks like he punches people. Big deal."

"You can't be serious." He shot a hard glance at him. "You need to watch this generation's king of action. The man has stellar acting and magnificent ninja techniques up his sleeves."

"I see…" he said, still not moving his eyes from the action before him.

Qian Meng saw how engrossed he was and focussed on the screen also, deciding to watch the movie once again.

In the end, two hours went by in a blink.

"You can blink now," Mo Qingchen said as the credits rolled. She did. It never seemed to surprise her.

"How does he do it?" Cage moved like a ninja. Though, what she really thought a ninja constituted was very different from the actual meaning.

"Fighting people for two hours?" he leaned back into the pillows behind him.

"Are you serious? That was so much more than just fighting. Every move was precisely executed. Moreover, the plot!" The words flew out of her mouth in excitement. "I got pumped up just seeing it."

"The fight scenes were great but I was a little distracted by you," he teased.

"Because I am too beautiful and you couldn't keep your eyes off me?"

"Because you were trying to replicate the moves. Might I add you would have a stellar career in making background music?" he added.

"Mocking me is not a wise move," she warned him.

"Oh, really?" He paused and looked at her. "What are you going to do about it, Mrs. Mo?"

Her eyes narrowed. "You think I can't take you on?"

He shrugged. "Doubtful."

Before he could finish, she had pounced on him. Arms flailing, legs kicking. She managed to catch him off guard and was feeling good about herself for the few seconds it took for him to respond.

Then, she was lying on her back. He looked down at her, shaking his head.

"Who is the master?" he had the audacity to ask.

"I am the master!" she declared.

"You really shouldn't have said that." He had a wicked gleam in his eyes. And it spelled trouble for poor old Qian Meng.

"Oh!" she gasped.

Mo Qingchen released her immediately, thinking that she was hurt. He keeled over on his side as she went in for the tickle attack and tried to fend her off. She held on firmly.

She straddled him and pulled his hands above his head. She had won. She panted heavily onto his lips. "I will always win. When will you learn?"
