Chapter 175: Path Forward!
Chapter 175: Path Forward!
"Chaos, you might be right, but-" Life wanted to retort and refuse Draco's words; however, before she could continue her talk...
"But? But what? He's right, that's all. Haven't I been telling you all along that these guys won't be happy until they see every single one of us on their knees, dead eyes, or begging for forgiveness and mercy." Night spoke.
His deepest feelings and dreaded future were enough for him to consistently remind his comrades that they should change their ways again and again, but, until recently, he was but one man against the opinion of many.
[Celestial of Night has a favorable opinion of the host.]
"How about this." Draco said, gaining the attention of the group.
"I will take the burden, I will take the path of a world devourer and I will promise not to touch Portalia so you guys don't have to." Draco used his hands to express himself as the eyes of the group around him opened wide.
"You can't, young man. That path is too dangerous and if you're found out, it'll put us in even more danger." Truth shook his head, not accepting Draco's suggestion; he was not going to let a young man walk down such a dangerous path while he himself was just sitting and doing nothing.
Night also looked at Draco in surprise; he didn't think someone would be so dumb or confident enough to suggest this.
"You don't know half the danger you will meet once you step out of this bubble, Chaos. We cannot let you do this." Life also refused, not wanting to put the life of a newly ascended person in danger.
"Yeah, it's not a good idea, Draco. And even if you wanted to do that, the anti-celestials should know that there are 13 of us at this very moment." Love intervened too. Alexander and Leona didn't know what to say as they just gazed at the scene in silence.
"You have nothing to worry about. I have my ways. When it comes to the anti-celestials..." Draco stopped mid-conversation; he wasn't going to make promises with words but rather, actions!
His body split into two as a clone was formed in his place. The first clone that was his changed it's shape and features, and the new body retained Draco's features.
Draco had a tendency to change his shape many times and even his evolutions contributed a lot to this.
Now, however, he chose to stick with two; the first one was the first clone he was going to use in his path as a World Devourer. It had two black horns going upward, blue hair and sharp blue eyes, a sharp jawline, and, of course, handsome features.
The second one was similar to the clone he fought in the 1000th wave of the first tribulation.
Green hair, armor, horns that went down, and overall, a serious and cold look that would frighten any weak-minded individual.
The celestials around looked at this and then at each other.
"Young man, I know you are smart, so I don't need to explain anything further. All I can say is that the path you've chosen is tricky and full of dangers. It might not affect us anymore but, the means of the anti-celestials are mysterious and even we don't know what they're truly capable of. This is all I have to say." Truth shook his head in defeat and sighed.
"Truth, how can you just accept like that? Don't you know why becoming a world devourer is dangerous?
Chaos, as you said, I don't know what you're capable of, but you can't just up and become a world devourer; the second you destroy a world and devour its core, you're stripped of every right to continue down the right path." Life looked at Truth as if she couldn't believe what came out of his mouth, and like a mother, she turned to berate Draco, genuinely worried about him.
Draco just smiled at her, calming her down with his confident smile.
"You have nothing to worry about, Life. If I say that I can do this, it means that I know all the risks and have a way to avoid or deal with them." Draco said, not leaving anything for Life to say.
"Hmph." Life didn't know how to reply and just crossed her hands, looking sideways, clearly disliking Draco's decision.
"Are you sure about what you're doing, Chaos?" Draco turned to look at Night, who was slightly confused and worried and had a face as if he were the culprit behind Draco's decision, looking guilty.
'Surprise, surprise. This guy turned out to be quite caring, huh? Who would have thought?' Draco commented in his mind.
"Yes, I am. You all have nothing to worry about; if the anti-celestials ever come and try to check, they will find absolutely no connection between me and my clone over here; we're totally and completely different beings." Draco confirmed.
"Haha, crazy." Alexander, who was on the side, finally couldn't hold it as he laughed. Everybody turned to look at him, wondering what caused him to have such a reaction.
"Right? Haha, this guy is just different." Leona also joined, confusing everybody but Draco.
"You guys sure know him more than me, huh? Well, I can't blame you; I was with another version of him all along." Love, who had spent quite some time with David, Draco's clone, could say she understood what got the young ones laughing like that.
"You just have to go and do something. First, you have a condition to defeat a celestial, and now, you walk two celestial paths at once. Man, you just never cease to surprise me." Alexander shook his head with a smile. He could compare himself to Draco forever and always be left behind.
"He what?" Night and Life, who didn't know what Draco had to do to evolve, were shocked beyond belief.
"He was the one to kill Fate."
