Chapter 140: One after the Other!
Chapter 140: One after the Other!
"Dalen, come down!" The commander looked at Draco and then somewhere on the seat before he called.
A second later, a deerman wearing a plain white robe came down. He had a confident expression on his handsome face, his long brown hair danced with the air, and his brown eyes were locked on Draco.
Those who knew him could feel his excitement from their seats.
None of the fighters spoke as they positioned themselves on both ends.
Dalen was a Peak Lord-Level close to Leona in terms of strength; however, Draco was no longer as weak as he was when he fought Leona.
"Start!" the commander ordered.
However, the two fighters didn't move from their place.
Dalen's brown eyes shone with a silver luster more blinding than the previous deerman, and his expression changed from a calm and internally excited one to a frightened one.
"Im- Impossible." He muttered as the way he looked at Draco completely changed.
'Heh, I guess it worked just right.' Draco thought as he smiled internally, but his outward expression was the same.
The elder looked down at one of the best of this generation from his clan and his expression turned stern.
"He can't see it, huh?" He thought.
Indeed, the reason the deerman was confused and frightened was because he couldn't read Draco's future; he couldn't see what he was going to do, and when he looked at him with his mythical Lunar eyes, he could only see a fog of darkness that was like an abyss flowing outwardly from Draco that threatened to come and swallow him with its tentacles that caressed his face gently.
Draco's face no longer looked like that of a handsome rival to him but like that of a demon straight out of the deepest parts of the prison.
The reason he couldn't see Draco's next ove was partly because of the Origin Emperor technique he got in the auction and mainly due to a skill tree he formed with Chaos and Fate.
{Veiled Chaos} was it's name, and it made Draco eevne more of an anomaly whose fate wasn't just hidden, it was chaotic and unpredictable it was completely impossible for anyone to guess it, so one had to take into account all possibilities, and even that didn't help much.
"Are you going to attack?" Draco asked as he took the first step forward.
The deerman didn't hear Draco, but when he saw him approaching, all his body could do was instinctively take a step back. a deer was prey but in the Beastmen's history, it was always the ruling Clan, and it never bowed its head down to anyone but its king But this time, for the first time ever, it disgraced itself to the point of fearing someone... In front of the whole Race.
The deerman's pride, however, didn't allow him to take a single step forward as his eyes turned completely silver, blinding most of the arena.
"OOOOOOOOOOOO!" the deerman shouted as he attacked Draco with all his might.
"It's useless." Draco said. He was far stronger and far more equipped than this deerman in any area, even with his foresight.
Draco raised his right arm up and his left one down and the second time, the deerman was within striking distance with his right arm ready to hit Draco's face.
Draco spun his arm's in a full circle, as before the deerman knew it, his world was turned upside down.
*POA* *BOOOOOOOOM*
and another dirt cloud was raised.
"Just... What?" The beastmen on their seats held their heads as they couldn't understand what just happened; it was too fast and too illogical for their brains to understand. How could a deerman not be able to intercept and block an attack as obvious as that?
This was the reaction of the young ones, how did the elders react?
"Outrageous!" the bullman shouted.
Even the elder wasn't quite pleased this time.
It was his liunige's reputation that was ruined, it was their image that stood strong since the creation of this world that was smeared, he could never be smiling in such a situation.
"What a shame for him to be called one of the best of this generation." the snakeman shook his head with a smile.
"Forget that, the reaction he made wasn't normal, what do you think was the reason that made him do that?" the cowwoman asked.
"He couldn't see." The elder replied, still staring intently at Draco.
"See what?"
"His oppenent's future moves. He couldn't see them." the elder replied.
"..." The elders stood silent.
Their gazes, who were looking at the elder as if they weren't sure if they heard right or if he was too stupid to know what he was saying, turned to look at Draco, who was looking visibly bored at this point.
"How is it possible?
He's nothing but a mere lord; he shouldn't be able to do this even with the technique we gave him; it was something that should only work on fate, not the Celestial Lunar eyes, and even if it was able to do so, he shouldn't have even started understanding it by now; such a technique would take a King of Essence's entire life to understand to such a level." The cowwoman said she did not believe what she heard.
"But he did it; even I can't see his future or what his next move would be anymore. All I can see is complete and utter... darkness." The elder said.
"..." Silence reigned once again.
This young lad was full of surprises' the deer elder thought.
"Draco!" A sudden shout was heard from the gate of the arena as Draco turned to find Leona with a wide smile, just arriving with her hammer and armor as if she were ready for another battle.
"Last time I wasn't ready, let's fight once again... Fair and Square." She said this with her canines showing up from how wide she smiled.
Everybody looked at her, and then Draco wanted to know his reaction and was eager to watch the rematch between these two monsters.
The tension rose, and silence drowned out the arena as Draco looked at Leona intently and opened his mouth...
"No."
