Chapter 123: Auction!
Chapter 123: Auction!
When Draco was just thinking about where he would move next, he met with someone a little bit unexpected.
"Isn't that my Dear Father?" Alexander and his wives, who just got out of their nest, came out of a drone and were heading towards the guild when they saw Draco standing in front of the gate.
"Isn't that my dear son? Just came out of your love nest? It seems like you're enjoying your time. What are you planning on doing here?" Draco asked.
Alexander wanted to reply by saying 'none of your business' but couldn't.
"We're here to register and take on some missions; after that, we're going to an auction, and we hoped to have you go with us as we don't have money yet." Alexander said, looking slightly down.
"That's fine with me; I was just thinking about what to do next." Draco replied.
"Can you wait for us here?" Alexander asked.
"I will be in my drone dimension; you guys can feel free to take your time." Draco replied. He was going to the drone dimension to have enough time to think about his next steps, as the projection of fate will always be following him around, and sooner or later he will either be caught up to or have enough of being followed to face it directly.
That is why he was planning on being prepared enough for when that day inevitably came.
'Damned Bastard, Your end wouldn't be pretty.' Draco thought in his mind.
Alexander and his wives did what they planned on doing, and Draco entered the Drone Dimension.
What he was planning on doing right now was simple.
That Fate bastard could see the faintest of movements regarding the Fate of everybody within a certain range of himself, and when he was the Celestial of Fate in Portalia, he could see all of its fate and that of its residents.
He was one of the smartest, most cunning, and most scheming fellas, as his Affinity and Celestial Powers were related to something that helped massively when it came to planning normal or devious plans, however they may be.
Draco was for sure certain that the projection that was following him and Alexander everywhere wasn't the only thing that guy was doing, but whatever he was cooking, Draco was ready for it.
The things that would happen inside this station were the most important. Draco could, however, just act as low-key as he always did, but he was trying to rise in power as fast as he could, knowing far too well that the time it would take was by no means a joke like the previous evolutions.
He knew that from now on, it wasn't a question of days and months; it was a question of years.
He knew that from now on, it wasn't a question of overpowering and devouring; it was a question of connecting and grinding.
He knew that the reason whoever was in charge of conditions did not give him a time limit this time was because the beings he had to deal with to reach the minimum stage needed to face fate were in no way easy to kill or deal with.
As we've seen before, all the skills and techniques Draco tried didn't manage to kill the 10 Lords, and even if he was facing 3 instead of all of them, he would still struggle until he used Origin Chaos.
The question remained, Why did Origin Chaos work and not other techniques? What was the difference between [Chaos Overload] and Origin Chaos? What was The Lord-Level Filthy's weakness? What made them so special?
The reason Origin Chaos worked was simple... It's because they were taken out of the Cursed Prison and into another realm where the innate protection they had was weakened.
Origin Chaos was special in the way that it not only used all kinds of techniques and affinities that were the opposite of the enemy to kill them, but it also held many properties like Origin of Life that limited the being's connection to whatever empowered them and their special characteristics, making them more vulnerable to attacks than ever, and as long as enough time passed, they would sooner or later die.
Draco was truthfully worried about himself facing such a skill as here, he was connected to the forest and its continents, and it wasn't something easily destroyed, so he could take as many hits as he wanted and be sure that it wouldn't be bad enough to destroy the first and have him on his last straw.
But Draco wasn't dumb enough to find a weakness about himself and keep it; the same way he made it, he could find a way to destroy it and evade it easily.
Not to mention, the same way Draco escaped Origin of Life, he could do the same with all similar techniques.
He could just use [Devouring] to power himself up to a level where he could destory the very fabric of what he was trying to escape.
Let's not forget that Draco was using a clone, not his main body.
This was in the case of Origin Chaos.
Other techniques, however, couldn't kill the filthy because they had fabulous regenerative power, and as long as they were within the prison realm, it was hard to one shot them. You needed at least Essence Level Power to strip them of that protective authority that Draco didn't have.
This was essentially their weakness; once that protective authority was gone, they only had their brainless heads, their instincts, and their still super-regenerative capabilities. Other than that, if they were alone and continuously bombarded by the element opposite the one they're fused with, they would die sooner rather than later.
Then, what made the Lords so special? As stated before, it was the protective authority.
How did the protective authority work?
Simple... When there was a gathering of Lords in a single area, their lives were connected! As long as one of them was still alive, all of them lived.
So the only way to kill them... is to attack them all at once.
