Chapter 231: Trouble Comes Knocking!

“How can I forget…” Zeras muttered as he turned behind him looking at the unconscious body of the last Zugrof.

It was that of a female with a purple horn and he carried her up before turning towards the dark portal.

He already did all he could for a fellow human. For a fellow human like him to become another race slave filled him with intense disgust but he already tried his best to convince her otherwise. As for how it would all turn out, then it had nothing to do with him anymore.

“HUUUUUUU” Zeras exhaled loudly as he turned back to look at the vast area he’ll be leaving behind. There was no doubt he had grown vastly stronger than when he arrived here and also inched closer to goals. The Ruins Expedition was well worth it.

The chaotic portal swirled around randomly as Zeras stepped through it, his body immediately fading away.

A Rapid Shoving…

Immediately, he landed on the solid ground, the familiar air rushing through his nostrils and into his blood vein as a smile broke out on Zera’s face.

“There truly is no place like home…”

Turning to look at the scene, he was gobsmacked seeing the crowd that was present.

There were almost hundreds of people around the area, mixed within the EIA.

Immediately, he moved out being the last person, all eyes were immediately turned on him as three EIA officers immediately moved towards him.

Immediately, Zeras dropped the figure on his shoulder with a thud as he stood upright at once, his chest puffed out before giving a deep bow.

“This young one has seen an EIA officer…”

Immediately a boisterous laughter rang out in Zera’s ears before a gigantic palm slammed on his shoulder in a powerful pat.

“Rise.”

“You returned alive. You have made the EIA proud.” The burly man dressed in an EIA uniform said as a smile broke out on Zera’s face too.

He truly returned alive.

“And what’s the deal with that horned girl…” The second EIA officer, a lanky male said pointing at the Zugrofs that were on the ground.

“There are a lot of things that I want to update you on, Officers. But I’m afraid this is too open, perhaps…” Zeras said, the tempo of his voice reducing a little while looking around the place.

“Oh, of course. I understand your worry. Come, let’s get you back to base.” The burly man said as the third officer carried the Zugrofs before they all headed toward the gigantic EIA ship.

But they all came to a stop when a group of people with eyes of lightning blocked their way, their eyes staring at Zeras with murderous expressions.

“My respect EIA officers, but I’m afraid that young one won’t be able to leave with you. He will be coming with us.” The middle-aged man in front of the group said, his voice leaving no room for argument.

A thunderous snort immediately blew out of the burly man’s nose as he walked towards the middle-aged man.

“You just appeared in front of us and said my junior will be coming with you. And you think I’m going to give him to you? Why? Because you said so?” Kenji said, as the entire air around him immediately changed.

“Your junior has committed grave crimes and is responsible for the missing young masters of our Celestria family.”

“Uh?” The EIA officers raised an eyebrow as the middle-aged man turned to look at Zeras, lightning flashing in his eyes.

“We were given this report by the Underworld Family. They said they saw you last with the two Celestria family geniuses engaged In a feud. I want to know well what happened and for that, you’ll be coming with us…”

“Your shameless Celestria family geniuses sneak attacked me when I was trying to obtain a treasure that was ordered by me from the EIA. The lightning fruit. I fought with its guardian beast and after getting grievously injured managed to defeat it.

Then your young masters swooped in at the last minute and took it away. But not only did they take the fruit, they also tried to kill me. If not for the Teleportation Card given to me by the EIA, I would no doubt have died…” Zeras said with a vein popping on his forehead as he clenched his teeth furiously.

“And…” The middle-aged man said completely unbothered.

“And then, I went into hiding to recover my strength. Immediately I recovered back to my full strength, I immediately went after them. That was when all the nine family geniuses saw us together, and I’m guessing the Underworld Family did too? But…”

“But what!?” The middle-aged man snapped, lightning spewing out of his eyes.

“How can an Early Meteor rank stage defeat two Peak Meteor rank stage, and one of the Nine family geniuses to booth?” Zeras said staring at them as if they had no brains as strange expressions appeared on their face.

“And your shameless young masters already devoured my fruit. Both at the Peak Meteor rank stage against me at the Early Meteor rank stage, what do you think I did if I’m still standing here right now?” Zeras asked with a raised eyebrow as they all suddenly turned their gaze to the Underworld family.

“Oh? Was it the underworld family that told you this? I know why?” Zeras asked as hate flashed I’m his eyes even greater than the ones towards the Celestria family’s young masters.

“Uh?”

“The Underworld Family’s young master, Audrey, was a necromancer. He told me he would be killing me and turned me into one of his puppets. But in the end, he died to the alien race we met towards the end of the trail.

The underworld family must have felt anger at his death and looking for a goat they can unleash their anger on. Which is better than the one who everyone thought would die but survived. And you Sirs have been played well by them.” Zeras said with a smirk

“You piece of…”

Before the man could complete his words, the air immediately turned cold as a butcher knife suddenly appeared on Kenji’s hands wrapped in strange clothing yet radiating a horrific aura that made Zera’s hair stand at the end of their back.

‘Cosmic Rank stage experts. They truly are on another whole level…’ Zeras thought with amazement.

A blade was pointed at the nose of the middle-aged man as Kenji’s cold eyes stared at him.

“I already gave you free rein to question my junior like he was a criminal. You’ve embarrassed us enough, don’t you think.” Kenji said looking around as the man also turned and truly the entire nine families were currently staring at them.

“You’ve asked your stupid questions and now you want to start calling us names? I’m sure the EIA has been benevolent and understanding enough, now SCRAM!!!”

Airwave blasted out of Kenji’s mouth as the group immediately shot to the side to avoid the air attack, leaving an open entrance in the middle.

Immediately, a large hand clamped tightly on Zera’s and he was immediately pulled by Kenji as he walked past the group and towards the EIA spaceship which soon rose into the air and slowly disappeared into the distance.
