The group of knights was accepted, but they remained somewhat cautious.

After all, the relationship between Gran and Norma was not good. Despite the appearance of inclusiveness of Westwind Holy City, which was technically part of the territory of the Kingdom of Gran, they still had to be careful. They looked at the mining town ahead and hesitated whether to enter.

The Maya people who came with them were even more cautious. They had been enslaved by the Norma people for several years and had developed a serious distrust of the white people. They were reluctant to easily trust them again.

A warrior from the Gada tribe emerged from the jungle and waved to the refugees. The Maya people were surprised to see an eagle warrior in the mining town and then noticed a group of Maya people coming out of the town, waving at them from a distance.

These Maya people didn't look like they had been enslaved and tortured. They didn't have the appearance of being emaciated or malnourished, nor did they look miserable and poorly dressed. On the contrary, they were all wearing well-kept clothes and had a healthy complexion. This was not how slaves were supposed to look.

While this group of people hesitated and deliberated, a sentinel on the watchtower called out, "More enemies incoming, a large army!"

The knight paused for a moment and then shouted, "It's the Iron Horse Knights chasing after us. Not good, everyone, quickly take shelter in the town."

With no other choice, even if the refugees hesitated, they had to run toward the town.

The knight, however, led his soldiers and turned around, preparing to confront the enemy. The small group of warrior eagles that had come with them also prepared for the battle.

Elsie smiled and patted the knight's shoulder. "Knight, why don't you take a rest? I can see that your group is exhausted. Let us handle this battle."

"But... it's our mess..."

"Don't worry, Westwind Holy City has faced attacks from all kinds of people and creatures many times before. We're used to it." Elsie pointed to the eager Big Loli by his side. "Besides, our Sword Saint here has been itching for a fight."

The knight was astonished. "This unreliable loli is actually a Sword Saint?"

Elsie whispered, "Don't be fooled by her appearance. Her full name is Russ Belmonde Dracula."

The knight suddenly understood. "The daughter of Mondra Belmonde Dracula, a princess!"

He had nothing more to say. There was actually a "princess" here, or well, he wasn't sure if she could still be considered a princess, but she was undoubtedly an important figure.

He waved his hand, instructing his subordinates to enter the town and rest, leaving only himself standing beside Elsie.

Everyone remained quiet and waited. Before long, the pursuers arrived.

This pursuing army appeared to be highly elite. Each person was clad in neatly arranged armor, armed to the teeth, clearly indicating that they were a main force. On the pauldron of each individual was engraved a symbol of a horse's head.

Upon reaching the outskirts of the town, the army did not rashly charge forward. They formed ranks within the range of bows and magic, standing firmly. Then, a knight wearing mithril armor stepped to the front and shouted loudly, "You despicable dogs of Gran! Last time, you plundered our mithril mine and port. And now, you've even seduced knights of our kingdom, scheming to incite internal strife and seize our Maya slaves. I must express the strongest protest to your kingdom."

The knight opened his mouth to speak, but Elsie stopped him and stood in front of him, smiling. "Although you call us Gran dogs, I won't call you Norma pigs because I have manners."

The people thought to themselves, [Although you say you didn't insult him, those three words still came out of your mouth. The effect is the same. You're so crafty.]

The knight in mithril armor was left speechless.

Elsie continued, "Firstly, I must solemnly declare that we did not seduce your knights. This knight acted driven by his own sense of justice to do such a thing. Westwind Holy City had no involvement in any shady dealings. We were unaware until he arrived here."

The knight in mithril armor sneered, "You may have distanced yourselves, but who doesn't know about the things you've done in secret?"

Elsie shrugged, "I just enjoy using my narrow-mindedness to speculate about gentlemen."

The knight in mithril armor angrily said, "Stop playing with words. I demand that you immediately hand over the traitor and return our Maya slaves. If you deliberately choose to protect the traitor, aren't you afraid of starting a war?"

Elsie said, "I don't like your tone of speech. You act as if I must listen to you. On what grounds? Honestly, I originally intended to negotiate with you in a friendly manner. If something doesn't belong to us, we have every reason to return it. But the moment you arrived here, you called me a Gran dog and then displayed an arrogant attitude, trying to boss me around. I just want to ask in response, are you intentionally here to provoke and incite a war?"

The knight in mithril armor: "..."

Elsie said, "Whether we seek justice from the Desert Kingdom or from Big Tang, they will all think that your attitude is very abnormal, while I have always maintained a polite and friendly attitude in our communication. If a war breaks out between us, it will definitely be your fault, not mine."

The knight in mithril armor: "..."

Robb, listening from behind, found it amusing and couldn't help but almost burst out laughing. This Elsie is truly crafty. If he were the one negotiating with the other party, he might have blurted out something like, "Wow! If you're not satisfied, come and fight me." In that case, he would be the one instigating the war, and it wouldn't hold up in international public opinion.

Especially that "Wow!" The people from the Desert Kingdom and Big Tang would probably think that Norma had a point for taking action.

But Elsie, this guy, immediately put the blame on the other party, making it seem like they deliberately came to provoke and incite a war. This way, the logic was on his side. Impressive, but despicable.

The knight in mithril armor couldn't find words to say for a while. He was truly hurt by Elsie's despicable manner.

He angrily raised his mithril sword and said, "You are insulting my Iron Horse Knights."

Elsie said, "So many people witnessed it with their own eyes. I haven't insulted you with a single word. It has always been you insulting me. When did I insult you? Just like how you called me a Gran dog the moment you arrived, but I never called you a Norma pig even once. Everyone, tell me, did I insult him as a Norma pig just now? Did I point at his nose and insult him?"

The soldiers from Westwind City behind him laughed together, "Commander, you never called him a Norma pig. We all heard everything, there was nothing, absolutely nothing."

The knight in mithril armor was furious. "Wow, this infuriates me! I declare war! I'm going to kill this slick-tongued bastard."
