I love how everyone is bashing the mc for being idiotic and being emotionally all over the place. He is transported to a place he has never been emidiatly witnessing a cults activities which aren't anything pleasant and then being forced to fight for his right to live. Anyone in a situation even similar to that would be the same. If you give the book a chance he starts to come to terms with what is happening in the second "book" and his character develops alot emotionally. I'd give the first "book" a 3/5 good world and writing quality but leaves character development needed. This problem becomes better in the second "book", so "book" 2 would get a 4/5 for me. Trying to give a good enough explanation without giving any spoilers.

Unfortunately the author cannot write like Shirtaloon or whatever his name was, and delivered a piece of junk.It wouldn't be bad at all if the MC wasn't an immature idiot without self control. Any of us readers, placed in that situation, would act with dignitas rather than a jumping clown that can't control himself or his mouth. I don't find the MC funny, admirable, or relatable.It's like the author is trying to copy Jason Asano but lacks the skill and the character is wrecked.Kill the MC and write something based upon the world like "fights monsters" and I would want to read it.

Very nice fanfic. Author used his otaku mind to fill the gap that until now Naruto fans are left hanging. Fanfic but it really will madesense. SpoilerExample Ive always felt that Sarutobi Hiruzen is a very bad hokage when I was younger because of how Naruto was brought up. Higher ups know his parents contribution but why did he live a complete miserable life as a kid. He lived in poverty and malnutrition and rejection (understandable). I never liked the hokage when I realized that. This novel will give you another side of him, a fanfic reason of his actions and how he rise to power. I like the lowkeyness of MC but has the means to act in the dark. Its just that he's getting involved too much that would completely change the Naruto story before Naruto even gets born. Sadly that it doesnt have enough chaps. And mtl is unreadable

If somebody is searching for a dark or at least unfeeling mc this is not for you. Also there are some big plot holes in my opinion. If you have not seen Naruto then you can read it and enjoy, probably. I read till chap 80 and I already gave it a lot of chances just because of Naruto fanfic, but again the plotholes
A very fun read. Too many times I had to hold back laughter. The MC is smart and it is very entertaining to find out how he will solve the impossible tasks. The character intersctions are interesting and the MC is not afraid to change the plot.
It's pretty good. The biggest problem is it's Naruto, but Chinese. Chinese Young Masters, Chinese idioms, Chinese crap everywhere. Hell, they even use Taels as the currency! Talk of cultivation (which isnt inherently Chinese, but it basically is), Medicinal herbs and baths (again, not 'technically' Chinese exclusively, but it basically is). I love Chinese fantasy, but i dont like when Chinese cliches are shoved into other cultures stories (Imagine MCU but all the characters act like Chinese fantasy).Overall, it has it's funny moments. Just wish it would stop forcing other animes and stuff into a Naruto story.

Let add something to this some Chinese author do put effort in there novels I’ve read my fair share of novels, and some of my favorite are Chinese cultivation novel. After reading this, I had the image of the mommy duck, followed by the baby ducks.. on my mind
Fated To Be Loved by Villains is story about a guy who gets transmigrated/reincarnated into his favorite game. Unfortunately, it's as a nobody named Dowd, who's the son a of a countryside Baron. His system quests hin to go to the imperial academy, and this is basically where the story starts.On the train journey to the academy his train compartment is attacked by assassins who were targeting the compartments other passenger, Elnore Tristan (FL) - who's also the main villainess and End Boss of the game. Due to him, basically being omniscient in regards to game lore, he knows that Elnore has a personal magic artifact to ward off attacks, and as such he tackles her to the ground in attempt to be included in the small range of the magical protection barrier. This however is seen, by the villainess, as an attempt to rescue her to which sparks her initial interest in our protagonist.A side effect of this interest, is however, the gifting of the systems first "trait", which is "Fated" - I.e., he is Fated to be loved by the bad guys, and he is also gifted a "Charmed" trait, which makes him appear more attractive to beings with negative alignment.Unfortunately, our protagonist is as weak as they come. With F-rank in all of his stats, he basically can't even kill a chicken. And with villains taking an interest in him - his death is predicted to be just around the corner. Luckily, he gains an ability to scale his power level from F-rank to EX-rank depending on how much danger he is in. And thus, we come across some funny plot developments, where people think he is either a scammer, or just trying to hide his strength.Fated To Be Loved is a typical Korean webnovel, with minimal exposition, unannotated dialogue, and a lot of the MC's internal dialogue sprinkled in left and right. It takes some time to get used to for newbie readers. Another thing, which may throw some people off, is the irregular time jumps. I.e., some chapters end with the end of a scene, where the next chapter will show how that scene started, and then continue with the conclusion of that scene. It's a bit jarring if you don't expect the time jump, but it also does a good job of creating cliffhangers at the end of a chapter.So far by chapter 26.2, we've been gradually introduced to the protagonist, the villainess (who's also the FL), the Hero (who might be the 2nd FL), and a few other side-characters. Most of the story focuses on the actions of the MC and how he tries to get ahead of the story in order to survive. In the process of doing so, he comes across as omniscient and omnipotent - both attributed to his extensive in-game knowledge of events to occur, but also his cheat ability to scale his power level according to the amount of danger he faces. We do also get some small snippets from other side-characters; mainly from the FL as she struggles with new sensation and feelings of being in love with someone.With that said, there isn't that much romance in the novel, yet. The MC is keeping the FL at a certain distance in order to protect himself, but also to focus on surviving. There is plenty of action and other small comedy interludes, but most of the storytelling is focused on the MCs preparations, and his sudden rise to "fame" after having done a few inexplicable feats.As I mentioned before, the novel is written in a typical Korean way. Expect short sentences, little to no exposition, etc. Translation quality is passable, but Ranobes hasn't done a good job of "porting" the text from the source site - as such, line breaks, transitions, time jumps, are not immediately clear, and it may lead to confusion if you're not careful when reading.In conclusion, this is certainly an entertaining novel, but it isn't groundbreaking in anything it proposes. It does an OK job of entertaining, however, I can't say it's a masterpiece either. For this I'd give it a grade C+ or 4/5*I'd recommend this to anyone who's looking for short read to pass the time, or if they don't have anything else.Happy reading!

This is my review till chapter 21.The story has a slow start but it's a reasonable pace. The story seems to revolve mostly on a the political circle. The MC is young and unfamiliar to the role of the emperor that was suddenly hoisted on him which he never wanted. But he is smart observant. But you can see him struggling to get around in this new role especially considering how he got it in the first place. He can't trust anyone but he still has to open up to some people because the situation he is in , he can't navigate alone. He has an interesting half brother whom I think might be the only person he trusts. They were both contenders for the throne but things happened the MC ended up in . The imperial palace is a death trap for both of them which gives them a certain bond. Overall it's a good intriguing story watching the MC matures little by little where no one expects anything from him

It's set at hell difficulty, the highest you can get picked to. From the very beginning, the main character shines. He has some sort of battle instinct and immediately uses mana, though only subconsciuosly. Everyone gets 2 skills, one common and the other "fitting" them. Fitting, because there are exceptions to this rule, and author just mentioned it casually after a hundred chapters. So mc gets his Focus, which helped him in battle and Mana Manipulation, or sth. He is a genius when it comes to mana. Unfortunately, there are other people there. His abilities just suck, compared to what others can do. For example Desintegration skill, which literally disintegrates anything.Anyway, there is this girl named Sophie,Spoilerwho has Manipulation ability. She basically f#cks up Nathan's (MC's name) brain and he forgets some of his memories. There is also the thing, with him not being able to hurt her at all, while under the effect of her ability. Ofc he doesn't kill her, because of the potential benefits, she can provide. If she just died, our protagonist would have to spend 2 more minutes on fighting. SecondlySpoiler, his Focus makes him supperss all his emotions. He gets dissed every chapter. Like really, if you are this strong, show them their places. It only gets worse in later chapters.The author really hates Nathan. He gives him multiple obstacles, in forms of his "comrades". Mc only snaps, after someone hurt the girl (Lily), that has crush on him. He explains that he owes her. SpoilerShe used her skill, Sacrifise, to regrow his left arm, simultaneously giving up hers (she has a healing ability and gets it back in no time). Nathaniel kills 2 guys he just met, and wants to kill Sophie, the bitch who tried killing him, but Lily makes him stop. It's really frustrating to watch his enemies still live, just because of some nonexisting morals he has. At the beginning he appeared cold and ruthless, but later he's just a big joke. SystemSystem is not badly written. There is this cool status window and it looks nice. You can level skill by becoming more familiar with them. Also, there is little to none explenations from the system. Only the necessary things you get from side quest and quest are explained. Quest are generally about clearing a floor. They vary from surviving to killing. The real power ups are generally side quests. You can get them complete while killing monsters and leveling up your skills. There are a lot more side quests. I think as of now they had better rewards, than the quests. OvrOverall the story is not bad, but I started hating the few characters. I also was prepared for a loner MC, reading the tags, but he is just socially awkward. The author doesn't know how to write human relationships. He just keeps repeating same thing over and over. Characters are too childlish and Mc being a wuss doesn't help. I would not recommend it to people wanting to expolre a new world, wanting to impersonate the protagonist, as it would only anger them. You need to keep your distance, to really enjoy this read. Mid novel.

It's rare and only used as a way to show how the MC seems like from others' POV.The start is a little rocky, as if the author is trying to find their writing style and characters, but it stabilizes soon enough.The MC also isn't whiny complainer. They're more of an antisocial cynic, or just observing and emotionally reacting to troublesome things with internal dialogs like most of us do.The story is pretty decent, even if some characters are abnormally hostile and there is some 'movie magic' that makes injuries vanish or give the MC infinite mana lolSeems to be written by an English speaker and the plot isn't swiss cheese, so if you're into the brutal survival genre then this should be a worthwhile read.

Caught up to the newest chapters. While the world and story itself isn't bad, there is too much of kingdom building and info dump in chapters. We basicaly get like 1-2 chapters of MC training and getting a bit of powerup and then 40 chapters of kingdom building and again 1-2 chaps of training. As for MC's character - he is a "good guy", trying to help everyone, avoiding killing even if someone offends him, and he always seek advice from others on how he should act. But it might change later with his progression. I just couldnt stand how undecided and forgiving he is.Also there are too many side characters, which makes the story confusing at times. Overall score 5/10.
A really good one for now, but careful there's not 300 chapters but more like 150, multiple chapters were posted twice as book 2 and then book 3, otherwise the story is really nice, the system too, peoples aren't extra dumb. From what there's to read I'd give a good 4 maybe a bit more.

POV: How to accidentally became an MC while looking for a story to read.
That time I summoned an otherworldly eldritch horror while trying to find a good webnovel to read.
I'm caught up up to book 5 I believe. This one is very good, it's slice of life with some action and adventure. There's also mystery, some suspense, and few other things mixed in as well because there's depth to this story. Some political intrigue, some mind blowing and/or horrible use of magic as well (imagine nuclear bomb/tsunami level disaster but magical). This is pretty good and definitely worth checking if you are a fan of fantasy, isekai, magic crafting, progression fantasy, and/or slice of life.The only warning I'll give is that the MC is bi. There is NO romance between guys BUT since the MC is bi, there are some physical description of both men and women in a sexual fashion. (it's not in poor taste tho and it happens only when it makes sense)I don't really read yaoi or bl and I never had a problem with this title regarding that aspect (and it is seldom, it's not even 1% of the story) but I know there are people out there that are very sensitive to this that even a physical description about a guy's muscles or how great looking they are can leave them with a bad impression so it's better to just tell them outright than have them encounter some passages like that and give a bad review.

At the beginning, somewhere up to chapter 190 of the novel, mc is similar to the Japanese betta mc, but from about chapter 190 he finally became more adequate and it even became more interesting for me to read, before these chapters I would have given the novel a rating of 2-3 stars, but after that How mc pulled his head out of his ass I'll give him a 5, only because there hasn't been a normal novel for a long time that I would read until the middle, I finished reading this novel. If you are worried that mc is a eunuch and a beta, at first yes, but it gradually develops (in chapter 196 (Mtl) he slept with Fmc). There is nothing to say about the world itself and the skills, the world and its design are mediocre (although there are a couple of interesting ideas). Overall, objectively, I would give the novel 3.5/5
It's not bad so far, so I used the link to follow it over to the mtl source, which is horrible, but I can at least follow the rest of the story.As others have said, the MC got isekaid into a hunter academy in a world with dungeons and the typical level system - f, e, d, c, and so forth. People have runes which are their skills. They try to earn new runes and also to increase the rating of their existing ones.The MC has a rune copying cheat over those he defeats. He gets sort of OP, but still his stats are lagging, the rune levels are a bit lower, and so forth so he must put in a lot of training in order to advance his rank.It's not too bad a plot, so far at ch 187 the plot has mostly centered around his growth, a few dungeon runs, and fighting with the cliche human traitors. Every single hunter novel must have those it seems.The characters are alright. Mc has no girlfriend but several different girls buzzing around him. He is a dense protagonist. The bottom line however, it is a pretty good novel and I find it interesting and enjoy reading it. It's definately rated far too low imho.Edit - after finishing the novel on mtl, I'm pretty satisfied with the ending. MC has several wives, and top hunter in the world. An open ending, where he is vowing to himself to get even stronger.

I have read the early chapters and here what I know. First, MC transmigrates into the typical korean hunter academy universe. ? Second, He got the scam rune called Epic Grade Rune [Rune Hunter Lv Max]. He can get other people's rune by defeating them but only one rune per person. It was quite op. Third, as always he was entangled in the trouble of MC. The novel was good considering MC wasn't puss out or remain cautious like some dumbass in these type of novel afraid of changes. The negative point is there are too many infos about runes, skills, and ultimate, clans and factions. One thing that very erk me is MC was given dagger skill and assign to assassin class but this guy keeps on learning swordsmanship. Cliche much! As every korean novel, it was 1st person POV and the names are confusing as hell. I have to take notes of them. Everything else is typical, Protagonist in novel with Op runes for hardworking, FML with super background and op mage runes, Her friend with Archer rune, Supporting extra girl with mage rune but never notice in real novel.

A bit Cringey.....MC is stupidGo more respect for the author of TCF after reading this. This novel shows how a good concept or idea can go differently if implemented by different people. Well this is my personal opinion, so don't take it to heart. May be you will like it, if u are not short on patience.

It doesn't seem like a BL though. Because in every BL novel that I've read the characters always think about the other male characters being handsome or attractive and appreciate and appraise some part of other party's physic and appearance.But here there is no emotional reaction to each others.
And I thought that stament a fact until I read a 300 chapter novel with no signs of bl only to be betrayed and an nsfw scene out nowhere, no tags, NOTHING, after that THE novel was ruined, it was so bad my brain erased all trases of said novel just a document stating the abomination that transpired

Love between same sex is simpler? Like most yaoi are just in it for the sex and body. Thats why gays and gals like it when pretty boys do it. I prefer heterosexual romance, so thats why I feel weird reading this novel.
Hard to enjoy it because of poor translation but it was interesting enough for a few chapters.

None so far. I even started to think it's proceeding BL because theres much more interaction with other male characters and closeness. Female characters are extras, either a subordinate of a supporting character or a spy. No signs of it (developing relationships or love) though, but if ever the author decide to go through with it, I wouldnt wonder how. Hopefully no BL.
TLDR: If you like TCF, then you'll probably enjoy this. They both have similar premises, character archetypes, interactions, and plot points. For context, I've only read like 20 chapters out of the current 56 so this could change in time (increase or decrease in quality) but nonetheless, that's what I'm predicting based on what I've noticed. Regardless, give it a try if any of you guys want, this story isn't one the "turn your brain off and became a brainless zombie" kind of thing so you might enjoy it in that regard too.

The novel is pretty much good. Mc's personality isnt annoying. He considers his every move. He's decisive too he thinks a lot. Compared to MCs who were transmigrated to worlds and became nobles, he's a lot better. Just that he's very sick. One punch from even an extra could probably guarantee him death. So for readers, I think that he's sickly state is frustrating because it stops the story from further action and more fights. His character also has a more mysterious background. Just that the Mc doesnt know Because originally the character shouldve been dead in the middle of book 1 of novel.

This is solid mid novel. The novel is quite similar to "Trash of the Count's Family" with its own twist, you will find yourself comparing the two in many Scenarios. The side side characters hero knight and assassin butler help the Mc mainly because they feel sorry for mc and for the contract in addition it also has its own dragon Raon from "Trash of the Count's Family" in the shape fox named Leo . The background of the world and world building are quite lacking there are some questionable parts like how does the name of a knight of a foreign nation carry more weight than a local lord etc. In the 1st half of the story its the same as "Duke Pendragon" where retakes is noble status and fixes the issues of is fiefdom , but he is Sickle so he doesn't partake in most action scenes . Overall a good novel to pass the time better than most face slap novels out there

Why is the synopsis so long?
Reading comments you truly understand that people really don't like "CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT" tag, and are spoiled by omnipotent reincarnators/regressors who already had their character development arc. Some talked how slow paced story is, it's because of you i have to see hundreds of weak to strong novels in which MC becomes OP in 10 chapters. Just admit - you like face-slapping novels with faceless MC with no personal traits, where you can't see anyone with IQ higher than 12. For those who might want to read it: SpoilerThe story starts becoming faster closer to the 100th chapter, MC chose support class so he needs to build connections to raise his LVL cap, but even without LVL ups there is a lot of system stuff, revealing how system works and its limits. The story is more about creating a home and protecting it than power building. MC really is naive and soft in the beginning, but he becomes more mature as the story goes on. It is at least 4/5.

Not really, I've read a lot of things on royal road, this has the longest period of nothing significant happening out of any I read to latest chapter/end (over 80 books) by a factor of at LEAST 4 times.
3000 pages and 3 months happen (over on RR, page stats can be counted) Yes, by the 3rd month, he was already getting noticed by world powers. I don't like this story for a lot of reasons (BUT, compared to others, it is definitely above average), but I think that it's fair for people to say that it's slow. It's one of those stories where the time passed and the page count ratio isn't right. I mean you don't really expect the MC in a good story to have great character development (in web novels at least where the period of the story usually takes a long time) in just 3 months. The problem is that it took 3000 pages. So after 3000 pages, there's barely any progression.Besides those problems mentioned, the MC is also pretty arrogant. Keeps saying his build is great, no, it's not. And if you are native to that world, it makes sense for people to NOT "specify" their build. His "class" is great, but his build doesn't make much sense in the world that he lives in. In a party, yes, his build (and class) is great, BUT, he doesn't really play as a party member most times. He does AoE damage including to himself as well and if not for plot armor in the shape of a literal armor, he would've died multiple times already, but he has that convenient armor and made a convenient friend that happened to be a talented blacksmith.There's a lot to complain about this story. It's a story with a hit or miss MC and a page count that doesn't justify the passing time among many others.

I only read to chapter 63, but the MC is weak wimpy and stupid. He didn't seem like it at the start but now it's obvious. Also his progress in levels is cut off and he seems completely unconcerned about that even though his "god build" is still stuck in the weak and growing phase. I should've checked the tags for slice of life but I'm dumb and start novels based off the synopsis. Also SpoilerHe said that killing is always wrong, even in self defense. Automatic 2/5 star downgrade to MC for me. I want them to kill bandits and their enemies not negotiate with them

it takes time to read the synopsis, it take a lot more time to read this slow book, if you want thing to happen then you may enjoy the start where everything is fast paced, but you are likely to drop it because for 60ish very long chapters the mc is level capped and not working towards fixing that problem, the advertised math is there but it often lacks in importance, in later chapter he is basically looking at numbers of potential build that he may never take. Progress wise, a glacier is around the same as this novel.
Review as of chapter 115. The novel starts really good IMO, the MC really struggles in this new unknown, game-like world. From knowing the language to choosing what stats/skills to take. He starts out without knowing anything about the world and slowly learns more as the story progresses. The RPG elements are unique as well. BUT.After the MC hits his level cap for the first time (I won't spoil how that works or what level it is), the story starts getting boring IMO. From trying to find out what he will do next level to be optimized and how more powerful he will get with his unique build, it becomes a slice of life pretty much, and not the adventuring type. As of chap 115, he hasn't raised his cap and the story feels way different than the first few (around 50) chapters. The story also starts introducing technology at around that point, I won't go into details about what kind, but, to me personally it didn't feel like a good way to progress, so I dropped it. Feel free to give it a read though, maybe you won't find the story boring like I did or maybe you won't like the first part I am talking about as much as the second. All in all, I would give this a 2.5-3/5.
